What makes us different
Our size is our strength
We encourage curiosity, creativity, and imagination, which helps us come up with the right ideas for cleaning up pollution, dealing with waste, and saving resources. Being part of Veolia Group, enables us to harness worldwide expertise and resources.
We craft tailored solutions
We pride ourselves on being agile and adaptable. Instead of arriving with predetermined solutions, we closely listen to our clients' needs. This enables us to create tailored solutions, incorporating existing ones whenever possible to enhance efficiency and speed.
We are specialists not generalists
Our work forms one part of a bigger picture within the nuclear lifecycle. We welcome the expertise of a network of collaborators, partners and supporters and we harness the strength in the collective.
We are creators and explorers
We thrive on tackling the toughest challenges and our culture of curiosity, exploration and ingenuity enables extraordinary ideas and solutions to flourish.
Safety is everyone’s responsibility
We approach every challenge with meticulous rigour and our team operates with the highest standards of safety and environmental consciousness, ensuring that our solutions not only meet regulatory requirements but exceed them.
Our Commitment to Responsible Radioactive Waste Management
The safe, responsible, and transparent management of radioactive and hazardous waste is fundamental to our mission. Across our operations, we work consistently within highly regulated environments and in close collaboration with national nuclear operators and safety authorities.
When we develop a treatment process, we aim to integrate sustainability considerations from the outset. Wherever appropriate and technically feasible, we prioritise mineral rather than organic treatment processes as part of efforts to reduce CO₂ emissions. Our UMTEC Project is an example of this approach.
We operate under an Integrated Management System and maintain leading international certifications (including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 19443, and CEFRI-E), supporting strong environmental protection, radiation protection, and quality management. Our teams follow monitoring, measurement, and operational control processes that align with and are proportionate to client requirements and national regulatory frameworks.
For new projects, we seek to consider the full life cycle of the product or solution. Although not required by regulation, this lifecycle perspective helps guide our design approach. ESG considerations are introduced early in the development process. Sustainability considerations are integrated into our engineering approach where relevant. For example, we may, where appropriate, recommend vitrification over cementation if it aligns with technical, client, and regulatory expectations.
Our governance framework ensures that nuclear safety, environmental protection, and waste management matters receive attention at the highest organisational level. All personnel working with radioactive materials receive specialised training, and our incident management processes aim to support continuous improvement across our activities.
